Depends on dialect. One thing I found hard to get used to when I moved
to Kansas was that "you" could be used as a plural. For me, unless it's
followed by a plural noun (like "you guys" or "you Kansans") - or when
in writing - it's always singular. But, I'd have people asking me at
work "Do you have ..." meaning, does the store have. But, to me, it
sounds as if they're asking if I, personally, have the item they're
asking about. :-) I always as "Do you guys have ..." or "Do y'all have
..."
