- Actually, talking about this topic, as a native user of "you-guys/you-all" who has somewhat picked up "y'all" from both this list and a from a friend from northern Florida ("Baja Alabama" as Nik calls it), what are the proper possessive forms in "y'all" dialects? I find myself using a wide variety, including: your-all's (from my native 'you-all') y'aller (/-r=/ from 'your', including the 'your'/'you're' homophony) y'allser (transposition of 'your-all's'?) y'all's -Stephen (Steg) "soak yourself in excitement" ~ radio commercial i just heard while writing this email no idea what the heck it was about, though :-P
