Could be -- or maybe you can have both [C] and [x], depending on whether the following sounds are front or back? For example, [C] before [p] and [t], [x] before [k]? <<<<<<Pablo Partial POA assimilation? {ephpe} /eF:e/ {ephte} /efte/ {ephke} /efke/ {ethpe} /eTpe/ {ethte} /este/ or /eTte/ ? {ethke} /eSke/ {ekhpe} /eCpe/ {ekhte} /eCte/ {ekhke} /exke/ Some of the above are more dubious to me than others. ************************************************************* This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed.
