Well, depends on what /t/ is - if /t/ is alveolar, than /s/ would be
more likely than /T/.

More has been said on this by Christope, we've discovered that <t> is d=
ental.

Must not've noticed this when I made my response. Very interesting.
The only evidentiality I've heard of in natlangs (tho admittedly I
haven't researched ev. much) is *how* one knows, i.e., visual (saw the
event), cognitive (believe it), etc. But this is rather interesting.
With belief, how would these be used? Could you choose between khk, yk=
,
and thk depending on how strong your belief is?

Wow! Fascinating.

Erm, first, let me clarify that all final <k>s in the examples above ar=
e
<e-umlaut>s that have been mangled somewhere along the way by someone o=
r others
mailserver.
The "truth value" evidentials are all down to a long rambling conversat=
ion that
was held on the list ... oh, erm ... must be nearly a year ago by now. =
There
are natlang precedents, maybe it was (mumblemumble) who said something =
on the
subject?. Anyone got a fulltext-searchable archive? Anyhoo, nothing's=
in W
(except the way roots work, and the gender system) that hasn't been dis=
cussed at
least peripherally on the list.
The forms kh=EB, y=EB and th=EB can work in very unexpected ways. Thin=
k about
possible meanings of things like <-mith=EB-> <me.disbelieve.kinda-false=
> for an
idea of how the Wewnetaar might express matters of personal belief as o=
pposed to
general belief. To say something about your own belief you have to be =
pretty
clear that you're being "unusual".
