Yeah, I know that (and I imagine most people using Unices do), but it
doesn't help Roger any as he uses Windows.

We did a test some time ago (I can't remember exactly how long ago, but
it must've been since 2000) on this mailing list, and certain characters
were broken. Both the sender and the tester were using Unicode-happy
clients. We concluded at that time Unicode was not on. Perhaps it's
changed since then. And there are *still* idiot servers out there that
change lines beginning with From to >From.
