Alternatively, my local College will pretty much let you turn up and teach an
Evening class in whatever the heck you like.
As far as I can make out, you have to attract enough students to pay you a fee
that you pay (part of) to the college for the privilidge. What's left over from
the fees paid, you get to keep. The college sets a "cap" on the per-student fee
chargeable, dependent on course duration and/or any certification available.
IIRC it's a "pay the college before they'll announce the course" policy, so
you'd have to be pretty sure you can attract enough victims.
I've often thought about doing this, as the language curriculum is pretty much
High-school French, High-school German or High-school Hindi/Urdu at the moment.
I've tutored one-to-one before, but never taught a class, so I'm rather nervous
about it.
