I've thought about it for ages, but never done it.

Yes, there's the Stoke notation which is sorta like an IPA for sign languages. I *think* its the one in use by most linguists who study SL's. There's HamNoSys developed by the University of Hamburg. There's Signwriting used by a group in Nicaragua, and appearently in successful use by a portion of the Deaf community. There are probably others, but those three are the biggies -- the ones you could easily find info on. Stoke has a published book on his system. U of Hamburg has materials on the net, iirc. Signwriting has lessons on the web, again iirc. Adam So lift the cup of joy and take a big drink. In spite of it all it's a beautiful world. -------Suzanne Knutzen _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx
