And the same holds for my conlang Cein, in which there are
no words 'yes' or 'no'. Instead you answer by affirming what
was said. Examples:
If someone asks _Aenth te?_ [@jnT te:] or rather [@j~T te:]
'Are they?' you simply answer _Aenth._ 'Yes they are.' Another
thing is that you use the question form of the verb even in
the answer and not e.g. *naenth. The question form of the
copula you get by simply dropping the first consonant: _naenth_
'they are' -> _aenth_ 'Are they?' or 'Yes, they are'.
