There was that story (maybe apocryphal) that some Bretons had grief during the WWs because B. ya was the same as G. ja. Prosper Proux wrote a beautiful poem/song about the Bretons' experiences during WW1 called Kimiad d'un soudard yaouank. Very wistful. Mike
