Sort of flattered to be called an illuminatus by some of you - and thanks

the welcomes.
Dirk E. - yes indeed, I have long been an admirer of his Tepa:
illuminatior
est quam ego.
And Gristopher G., the erudite Norman - why not?
But while I've heard of the Seven Sages of the ancient Greeks, I know not
the 'Bamboo Grove'. I seek illumination. Who are the sages and which one
am I?
