Merci beaucoup! However, in Hungarian in this case rather "Isten
hozott" (plain style, like German "du", "ihr") or "Isten hozta" (polite
form, like German "Sie") is used instead (lit. "God brought you
[here]").
The latter is not only a greeting when somebody arrives but it's used
when you _do_ wish the newcomer to stay for a long time as a close
acquaintance. That is, when you don't think about the future
farewell...
