A relay is where someone takes a text, written in their conlang, and sends
it to another person, who then (IIRC) figures out the translation of the
text, and then translates it into his own conlang. Then he/she sends it to
another person, and so on and so forth, down the line of people who are
interested. When the relay is over, the different entries are put into one
email (or web page), and you get to see how the phrase has changed as it
went through different translations. It's interesting, and apparently fun
:).
