Most did, but not all. Sardinian uses forms of the auxiliary _debbo_ (I
think that's the form), derived from Latin _debere_ (ought). And as you
also pointed out, Romanian's another exception.
My Román, which I haven't worked on for a while, prefixed a form of
_ire_ to the infinitive.
