The idea was that there are all-asomtavruli, all-nusxuri, all-mxedruli,
asomtavruli/nusxuri, and rare asomtavruli/mxedruli documents, but
none that combine nusxuri and mxedruli, so it was safe to unify them.
But Michael was able to find ecclesiastical documents (asomtavruli/nusxuri
and all-nusxuri) with mxedruli annotations. The great majority of
Georgians cannot read anything but all-mxedruli.

That's in the pipeline for Unicode 4.1 too, also as a result of Michael's
persuasion.
