Post-facto he did, and now I can't seem to get rid of him!

The one language of mine that keeps on pulling in Tolkienesque elements is
Eretas, the one I'm working on now. It *was* supposed to feel a bit like
Finnish, but not really, with words ending in -assa, -len, and the like.
However, the more and more I worked on it, it began to smell like Quenya.
Grrr!
Here's a sample of it at it's "worst":
Ödannesa ërehlönä öän erëtas estä öto vallën edäa. Sëlassen naltö,
öä ëannoltto jölan ëhlokasä'l Cënarskä tö öä salandäö oväan ëhlodä.
Sëlassen naltö, Ellëdasana cëonnan detä: "Stanso ast ërehlönä ällondë".
Odëans dë. Sëlassen naltö, Ellëdasana cëonnan detä: "Lendasan salardatö
ällondë'l ahl sällartö nal vällestan kasë'l etendählan vallën ëhlodëanätä'l
ordösö daräsan önä ëhlohlä". Sëlassen naltö, Däasan odannes ërehlo dëanëda'l
lendasan salardatö ällan önä Ellëdas önä anvalarën edë. Däasan cëonnan dë,
"Ellëdas erëtasan estä öto eressëatö estä öto vallën edäa'l öä avantalö hle.
Nëssato nal hlan önä ërës roattosan etscesö. Kalden äode! Sanëkanö präsarnë
önä hlan ëdëane!" Sëlassen naltö, Daräsanäa ahlalonä Däas Ellëdasana
kassëlan äodedä'l lendas ahlar dësö. Sëlassen naltö, 'Bäbal' etscan dë'l
lendasse ahlaltö Däas erëtasana banan dë'l Ellëdasana daräsan ëde.
That's the babel text in Eretas-2001. Looking back on it, it doesn't seem
quite so bad.
Eretas-2002 made it look less weird. From the t-shirt is this sample:
Miulhin Eretasséan siessonde. Eretas ellonde.
Eretas-2003 is a complete reworking. I mean complete. In particular, I've no
idea how verbs work in the reworked language. I *do* know that I want to keep
the t-shirt fragment valid, more or less.

Hmmm... I think I'm developing a bit of a problem when it comes to Eretas.
Never mind that though.
My first language was Térnaru. It was created for a story I was working (and
still am!) on in my mid-teens. Conlanging happened more or less spontaneously
for me. I conlangs tend to get subverted by conculturing.
