I guess this is a matter of taste and opinion. I have tried using
the font without the Keyboard Manager and I must say that its a bit
nonesensical for me. Of course, it works fine if you don't intend to
use a lot of IPA symbols in the first place. But once you start
using a whole lot of IPA symbols, it becomes a lot easier to use
these fonts with the keyboard manager. So one may as well learn the
codes that come with the keyboard manager. I was under the
impression that Christophe's friend was going to use a whole lot of
them.
