I wonder.  It might be hard to tell because the Romance input to
Lingua Franca are also the languages of the various groups Malta has
hosted in its history.  Judeo-Tunisian Arabic has (in a lexicon of
5,000 words) 15% Romance vocabulary, and some of this is certainly
Lingua Franca in origin.  Why not Maltese?
