Ferhin fur in. Tys rum in. Sur men in.

It doesn't get much of a rhythm in Valdyan because of all the
one-syllable words. I could have used _tysen_ but that doesn't mean
an ending, but the cause of the ending; an event that makes something
end, as in "her betrayal was the end of their friendship".
_Men_ means "something that is given", like a present; on second
reading I felt something in the original that seemed to suggest that
winter is itself gifted with sleep, like my youngest daughter has the
gift of memory. Sally?
I have a close parallel in something I wrote that does have a nice
rhythm:
Shen vestyn anin. Rheis buzyn anin. Tain duyen Anshen nafalan anin.
"The Light is our source. Trust is our foundation. The great god
Anshen is our protector".
This is the preamble of the charter of the Guild of Anshen, which
goes on with a list of commandments: "A gifted person does ..." and
then warnings: "Whoever ... does an unlawful deed". I'll post it Real
Soon Now, it's on my web page already for whoever is interested but
still unglossed (in parallel Valdyan/English text, though):
