I realized that I may have something like this in Senjecas.
Senjecas
has three deictic pronouns/adjectives.
dis = this
nis = that
âlnis = yon
I suppose that normally the 3rd person is at a distance from the
speaker. In this case, "nus" is used, that one.
But the 3rd person could be standing next to me, as I say to a
another
3rd person in the group, "I am going to the movies, but he is going
to
the zoo." In this case, "dus" is used, this one.
"âlnus" can then be used to disambiguate 3rd persons.
"He hit his (own) finger" would use "nus" for the subject
and "núsïo"
for "his.
"He hit his (someone else's) finger" would use "nus" for the
subject,
but "alnúsïo" for a more distant 3rd person.
