Quite possibly; it certainly sounds familiar. Just goes to show how well I remember traditional songs. (Though I think that knowing only the first verse of traditional songs, if that, is par for the course. Certainly seems that way in Germany: many more people know the first verse of a given traditional song than will know any subsequent ones, whether it's Christmas carols or children's songs or what-have-you.)
