Probably meaning "Jewish", like "Yiddish"...

I have no idea where this name comes from...do you know?

The Qara'im (Karaites) are a Jewish sect somewhat similar to the old
Sadducees....do you know if this is the Karaite language that is supposed
to be descended from the language of the Khazars?

Kena`an (Canaan) was an old name for Eastern Europe.

I just think all these "lishan..." language names sound very cool :) .
> SHUADIT: France
My "history of Hebrew" book says that Chuadit ( << Yehudit, "Jewish") has
some very unusual sound shifts, such as /s/ >> /f/, as in _sus_ (horse)
/fuf/, and the /j/ >> /S/ change found in the name of the language
itself.

Judeo-Greek? (Yavan = Greece)

> ZARPHATIC: France
Tzarfat = France, in Hebrew.
