fwiw re abbrvtns,
When i was at university, my lecture notes were a sight to behold. They
incorporated a mixture of full size English words, French words where they
happen to be far shorter than the English (ie sans for without), Semitic
triliteral roots, and Japanese kanji. And it was all hand-written in
something like 3-point courier. Imaghine getting 3 lines of text in each
line of typical lined A4 paper.
My friends only ever asked to borrow my notes once.
