Interesting. So it seems Uatakassí ranks contiguity of the reduplicant
segments vis-a-vis the template segments on which they're based rather
low, just like Phaleran:
tlîna 'black bear' titlîna 'black bears' (not: *litlîna)
What makes you decide that /a/ is chosen from the base in _dadiá_,
rather than /i/ (--> *didiá)? For my example, I suppose you could say
that /l/ is more marked than /t/, and therefore is less likely to be picked.
(To be honest, I also just liked _titlîna_ better, which is the special
privelege of the conlanger. To bad linguists can't do that.)
