Most of *really devoted* EOs I know celebrate no New Year at all.
Some less rigorous give certain attention to St.Basil's Day (coinciding with the
Julian New Year).
But the most specific phenomenon in ex-USSR is a so-called "Old New Year", that
is the Julian one, and locals get drunk twice: on Dec 31 and on Jan 13.
