You're probably right; since I don't use an alias (gave up that silly game a _long_ time ago), I just put in my first name. On the other hand, a lot of people here use only their alias, which means that if they don't include it, then we aren't able to match an alias to a face.

Sure; you can put them in under "More about yourself." It's just a textfield, so you can write as much as you like. The homepage field, however, will probably only take one.

You can only upload one *file* at this time, but there's nothing to stop you from combining two pictures into one file, just so long as the result is less than 80k. Or put a link to more pictures in the "More about yourself" field.

Yes; it will automatically calculate your age, too.

At least, I have no idea how to convert .jpg to .gif .
Don't. Jpgs are smaller and better for photographs than .gifs. For people who don't know how to reduce image size (both canvas size and compression-wise) I am considering offering to do it myself (i.e., send me an unaltered image of yourself, and I will send a nicely-sized version back), but I guess that depends on how many will be flooding my poor dial-up connection with large images. We'll see... :Peter -- Oh what a tangled web they weave who try a new word to conceive!
