So, dropping that compulsory agreement for something that's more useful as a "checksum" (other computer analogy) should yield a higher bitrate for the same amount of content and certainty-via-redundancy.

Yeah, but even the most casual French I know tends to still include the gender-marking. Sure, it doesn't take up *that* much space, but it adds up. - Sai
