Apology accepted, but let me try to show what it was that rubbed me the wrong way. This is what you wrote:

And I could only read that as "Irina thinks that all people really discover conlangs". with a subtext of "and if they say they don't, they're mistaken at the very least, perhaps lying". In fact I think no such thing: I think everybody does it (and should do it) their own way. Mine happens to be discovery, but I'd be neither surprised nor offended if there were nobody else whose way it was.
