I know that 'ummy' should have been 'mummy'!
BTW, there's about seventy-odd topics in that little blue book. I only list
the words here, without a German translation and examples, as there is in
the original.
The words "basic" and "additional" vocabulary refer to how English is
tought by textbooks. The "basic" words you all should have heard of in the
first 6 years of learning English (~2,000 words IIRC), the "additional"
vocabulary is to broaden your knowledge of words (another ~1,500 words
IIRC). Nevertheless, there are some words listed among the basics I don't
know the meaning of. Vice versa, there are also words which I know that are
listed under "additional" (read: advanced).
