"Less appealing" ??  Aww, I think it's pretty!  It looks kind of like
Hebrew with some random Roman letters mixed in upside down and sideways.
Er, that didn't make it sound very pretty, but I do think it's pretty.

I'm not sure if maybe the people who write this language are neater
than me, but my handwriting is sufficiently quick and sloppy that I
just *know* I'd forget to pick up the pen whilst writing vowel signs.
That might make "o" look like "i"?  And and!  I'd get my p's and b's
and f's and v's mixed up, too.

Don't take any of this the wrong way, I'm just pointing out some things
that sloppy native speakers might do.
