Yes, indeed.  There was a bug in lat2bri.

According to the Ceridigion County Council web site, it's derived from the
personal name Ceredig, a former (legendary?) prince of the area.
So I suppose it would remain unchanged except for the -ion which
would be replaced by a Romance analogue such as -IA > -i.
