This has been operational (but in testing) for quite some time now.
Many people were unhappy with the egroups archives, as they were not
searchable very far into the past -- we have pretty high traffic
(often 1K msgs/month or so) and a lot of messages that are
interesting for a long time, among the mass of less-durable
communications.

Yes, I took away the icons because I could never tell what they stood for.
One nice thing is that (after a slightly annoying registration
process) you can manage all of your list options, etc. via the web
interface, which is easier than listserv commands, given how
infrequently most use them.
