As presented in Wright's grammar -- I'm looking at it now -- the
Gothic vowels (using a circumflex in place of Wright's macron)
and diphthongs are as follows, following §12:
Short vowels:
a /a/
aí /E/
i /I/
aú /O/
u /U/
Long vowels:
â /a:/
ai /E:/
ê /e:/
ei /i:/
au /O:/
ô /o:/
û /u:/
Diphthongs:
ái /aj/
áu /aw/
iu /iw/
