Does your library have an interlibrary loan system set up? Mine does, and
i've been able to get books through it from universities like UC Berkeley,
UC San Diego, even one in Texas, IIRC. Mine has access to a book catalog
called World Cat which links libraries all over the world  (if a library
has a book you need, and your libary uses an interlibary loan system, they
can get you that book)
