I like § as a gut reaction. I wonder how easy it is to type...?

I like [] for features and () for regexes, with a descrambling pass before
they're read for real. Maybe the French quotes would be good for the
second-pass feature delimiters.

I think I like single-character variable names, to be honest. We'll see
