Actually, it does make sense. /2/ is the secondary version of the second
primary vowel. In addition, IIRC [2] is the vowel in Fr. _deux_ (and [9]
in _neuf_ or whatever the word for 'nine' is). But I do not speak French
so I couldn't say for certain. Now, [}] you can complain about. It has
absolutely nothing going for it.
