I see. That thread on Phonetics has cleared things out for me. Anyway, since the stress mark used in ánvalyis is nothing more than a stress mark, it doesn't actually matter whether I use a caron or a circumflex or a diaeresis or a macron or a grave accent — so I decided to use the acute accent as the default for romanization, as it is less likely to have issues than the breve. Speaking of Ályis, a rough lexicon is now at http://wordworld.wiki-site.com/index.php/Classical_Alyis_lexicon As for the script, I may or may not upload the glyphs until Friday...
