If you're looking for a Unicode text editor, there are quite a few around on the web. There is for instance Unipad: http://www.unipad.org, which despite some limitations allows to use more than 52000 Unicode characters even without having the corresponding fonts (it has its own font for that) and has a perfect bi-directional support (but doesn't support vertical scripts yet :(( ). Unfortunately it's not free anymore :( . There is also Yudit: http://www.yudit.org/, which seems to be the best I could find. It's originally a Linux program but it has a Windows version. There are quite a few others. See http://www.alanwood.net/unicode/utilities_editors.html for a list. Maybe there you can find an editor smaller than 2Mo. And of course you can check to download page of Unicode.org: http://www.unicode.org/unicode/onlinedat/products.html. Among them all, it seems that Yudit is the best free editor around. At least for what I've understood of their different webpages... Christophe. http://rainbow.conlang.free.fr Take your life as a movie: do not let anybody else play the leading role.
