Sorry about my last blank post with just my sig... i hit the send button before i could type :) I've noticed on TV in Mexico and in the speech there (at least around Santiago de Querétaro that the speech filler seems to be "es de" "Yo dije a él...es de.......él me dijo que...." Which to me seems like it would be equivalent in English: I told him .......uhhhhh..... he told me that... "Es de" seemed very prevalent on television interviews, when the interviewee had to think about something. In conversations it seemed pretty much the same. I've decided that in Saalangal the space filler would have no meaning, similar to hmm or uhhh in English. That space filler is "a" /a/ but lengthened like we do with "uh" when we're thinking. I really don't know what it would be in Montreiano. I haven't figured that out...
