Yes, you're correct. At least for people "of a certain age", as Joe
Fatula's reply suggests. It may be a little passé, I haven't heard it in
years, but then I don't move in circles where it's likely to be used.
Perhaps still in the South. Frequently paired with the adj. "jiggin' "-- a
ref to Black Folks' love of dancing??? It's every bit as pejorative as the
N word.
