The Skerre do not have weeks as we do so they don't have names for their
days.  I've wondered if this is naturalistic--are there resources on the web
to creating concultures just as there are for creating conlangs (other than
the conculture list which I know about, but don't currently think I have the
time to subscribe to)?

The Skerres do have months, 14 of them, and I had a lot of fun during spring
break re-vamping the Skerre year.  Each month has 24 days (which is the
lunar cycle of the moon on the Skerre's homeplane), except Jentî, which is
an eighteen day festival of lights (somewhat reminiscent of Hanukkah, even
though I'm not Jewish).

Iænhals (Second Month)
Iænsis (Rain Month)
Iænvexstu (Long Day Month)
Iænvextar (High Day Month)
Iænrek (Sun Month)
Iænsrin (Dry Month)
Iænsarokals (Second Start Month)
Iænkrieher (Cold Night Month)
Iænsot (Death Month)
Iæneharcat (Colder Month)
Jentî
Iænros (Dark Month)
Iænxelek (Ice Month)
Iænteça (Last Month)

Spring goes from the start of the year to the middle of Iænvexstu.  Summer
then goes the earlier part of Iænsarokals.  Autumn goes until the end of
Iæneharcat.  Winter starts on the first day of Jentî and goes until the end
of the year.

It was quite convenient how things worked out.  I selected a lunar cycle at
24 days somewhat at random, and selected 354 days for a year also somewhat
at random.  When I did the division I discovered I could have 14 months with
18 days left over.  And I previously decided that Jentî was 18 days long, so
I promptly inserted it to make up the difference in the year.
