Good point. That's why I put in the bits about speaking in a
fake foreign accent (cheesy, I know, but it might open your
horizons) and changing one random sound into one other random
sound and seeing what happens. Of course, that's not foolproof,
I think the only way to really minimize native language inteference
in conlanging is to just look at lots of natlangs, so your
mind stays open.
