Well, then that is what I answered in my first email with ob#jasnit'.
They cut off the end of the b, swallow it, possibly do other things
to it (see Isaac's message), and then start the word back up after a
full stop with the j. When it's p_jj, the palatalized consonant has
a full, messy-sounding release and no swallowed feeling, and the word
doesn't "stop" for a second but continues without a break.
