Coronals (dentals/alveolars) tend to be more
frequent than labials and velars less frequent
than either. Moreover /p/ tends to be less
frequent than /b/ while /g/ tends to be less
frequent than /k/. Often /p/ and/or /g/ are
missing totally. This has to do with articula-
tory effort and acoustic saliency.
