I have [jE(:)@] as well. Although I talk mostly with London
at work, and they have bad influence on me. :) Speaking with
a chap from London makes me open up those [E]s to get closer
(or rather more open :-P) to [&]. Those bastards make my
speech non-rhotic as well. ;)
