I'm afraid so. You are supposed to be allowed to write "à" for FATHER, but that leaves you without a symbol when you need to indicate stressed TRAP. I see no way to resolve the problem short of introducing "æ" and destroying the a/á alternation in related words like "saniti/sán". (I suppose I could introduce an accented "æ", using "a" only for FATHER and "á" for THOUGHT, but as we all know accented "æ" is not easily found on a computer...). /BP 8^)> -- B.Philip Jonsson mailto:bpX@netg.se (delete X) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~__ A h-ammen ledin i phith! \ \ __ ____ ____ _____________ ____ __ __ __ / / \ \/___ \\__ \ /___ _____/\ \\__ \\ \ \ \\ \ / / / / / / / \ / /Melroch\ \_/ // / / // / / / / /___/ /_ / /\ \ / /Melarokko\_ // /__/ // /__/ / /_________//_/ \_\/ /Eowine __ / / \___/\_\\___/\_\ Gwaedhvenn Angelmiel \ \______/ /a/ /_h-adar Merthol naun ~~~~~~~~~Kuinondil~~~\________/~~\__/~~~Noolendur~~~~~~ || Lenda lenda pellalenda pellatellenda kuivie aiya! || "A coincidence, as we say in Middle-Earth" (JRR Tolkien)
