My conlangs are just simply using "no(t)" with the imperative, nothing different. Rokbeigalmki: _eze-mwe_ = you(singular)|imperative-go = go! /EzE mwE/ _eze'nyih-mwe_ = you(singular)|imperative'not-go = don't go! /EzE njI mwe/ The infixed _'nyih-_ form is the common, basic form. There are also two other forms, one which uses the full word _nyeng_ /njEn"/ (n" = uvular nasal), and one which uses both. _nyeng eze-mwe_ is slightly stronger than the simple form. _nyeng eze'nyih-mwe_ is a very strong form. For "positive" double negation (no + no = yes), _nyeng_ is used and doubled: _nyeng nyeng eze-mwe_ = no no you(singular)|imperative-go = don't not go! This is the same way that non-imperative verbs are negated. ool-Nuziiferoi: One of the few things that were made for this first aborted conlang was the word "no", _nyet_ /njEt/ (and yes, it was taken from Russian). Rokbeigalmki's _nyeng_ is based on ool-Nuziiferoi's _nyet_. I looked in the old notes on it, and it didn't look like we ever made an imperative form...but i seem to remember having some kind of command form where the verb-root was left alone, with just a subject vowel attached to the front without a tense at the end. _eziifer_ = you(singular)|speak = speak! _eziifer-nyet_ = you(singular)|speak-no = don't speak! _nyet_ was tacked on to the end of the verbs, as in one of the few existing sentences _tezar, uh tezar-nyet?_ = "to be, or not to be?". -Stephen (Steg) _uroohhoorum au galahhalagm - dhawa sidgek? yeli, damet ya'zek au damet ya'dwi - sha'dhawa eziizii-mer?_ ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
