That's right! The Azeris are Turks. Also, not that far north of the
Caucasus is Europe's only Buddhist country, the Semi-autonomous
Republic of the Kalmyks. Kalmyks look mongolian, speak a mongolian
language, and write in a beautiful variant of the Mongolian script.
