Well, my copy of Teach Yourself Xhosa states
that, in the written version, the letter 'c' is used
to indicate a non-aspirated dental click,
as in "caca" = be clear. If the click is aspirated,
then it is written 'ch', as in "chacha" = recuperate.
In other words, in Xhosa orthography,
'ch' is an aspirated dental click, not [tS].
