Uatakassi has no concept of marriage. There's also no social or legal concept of fatherhood. There is a fairly technical term "nlannani" (literally "co-mother"), but no verb for "to father". The closest equivalent in Uatakassi would be something like "My woman is pregnant", which would sound very odd to the Kassii. :-) I suspect they'd probably interpret "my woman" as meaning "my female slave", so that's probably right out. Perhaps just "My (female) companion is pregnant". But, there's no connotation of fatherhood. I suppose one could specify it by saying "My (female) companion is pregnant by me" or "... with our child". -- "There's no such thing as 'cool'.
