Cool...my conlang, Rokbeigalmki, has the same thing. It's also known as a "construct state". One of the Rokbeigalm's homelands also happens to be known as "island of peace", too :) . "Tolosed". It's actually slightly more complicated than that, the official name is: _itahhal^osednun_ [itaHal'o:sEdnun] (the ^o is an O with a ^ on top). That ^o is the construct-state marker which connects _itahhal_ (island) and _sednun_ (peace). That name should become, through linguistic shifts, _^ita~l^sednu_ [ita::lsEdnu:], but because of influence from the Elvish language(s), it became _tolosed_ ['tolosEd], by the similarity-assimilation of _ita~l_/_tol_ and _sednu_/_sed_. And even then it should be accented on the second syllable, not the first, but the Rokbeigalm are notorious for being lazy when it comes to pronouncing names grammatically correct. :) -Stephen (Steg) ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
